We would like to congratulate Simon England for passing the AICIP (Australian Institute for the Certification of Inspection Personnel) In-Service Inspector exams. He is now qualified as an inspector of pressure equipment in accordance with “AS/NZS 4481 Pressure equipment – Competencies of inspectors” and “AS/NZS 3788 Pressure equipment – In-service inspection”. This qualification recognises his ability to plan, prepare, conduct and report on inspections of pressure equipment such as heat exchangers, pressure vessels, boilers and piping. These inspections include commissioning or re-commissioning, operational or surveillance and monitoring, periodic inspections and assessments of pressure equipment integrity, fitness for service and remaining life assessments.

This qualification coupled with his over ten years experience in the design, manufacture and maintenance of pressure equipment including knowledge of pressure equipment design, fabrication, welding and inspection standards such as AS 1210, AS 4458, AS/NZS 3992, AS 4037 and International standards including ASME VIII mean he is ideally suited to inspect and assess items of pressure equipment.
