BHP needed a company that could design and manufacture a cooling system capable of rejecting its heat load but fit within in a specified space and have an operating noise level of no more than 80 bB(A) at 1m.
Allied Heat Transfer were contracted by BHP to manufacture the Air Cooled Heat Exchanger which subsequent to testing was capable of meeting all the customer’s requirements with a noise level of only 75 dB(A) at 1 m.
